How to build a sma socket into a Midland G7
The Midland G7 will be delivered with a fixed antenna. However Midland offers a sma socket which you can use instead of the original antenna.
It also comes with the flex antenna shown below.
Open up the case, but be careful: Both case parts are connected with some wires. You can still take them apart, but do not pull to much.
You need to unsolder the old atenna prior. Soldering in the sma socket is exactly the other way around BUT there is another connection to be made.
